A thread is the complete record of one piece of work, the conversation and every action taken. Their first one follows the team's hard-won practices instead of repeating its early mistakes.

Amp can now be summoned from Slack, so nobody has to open a terminal first. PMs read specs, marketing gathers material, support drafts replies, all on one tool with one set of boundaries.

When Amp Enterprise earns its place
When several people already depend on Amp, a broader rollout is approved, sensitive systems are involved, or security and procurement need centralized ownership. We work backwards from a workflow the team already repeats, tracing its people, data, tools, and cost.
The implementation may include workspace design, SSO and directory sync, managed guidance, thread visibility, spend controls, and policy for external tool access (plugins and MCP), each tied to real work, rather than a policy document nobody reads.
